iStop Workbook
The iStop planner/workbook came about as I was standing outside one cold, windy October afternoon, all alone and shivering as I struggled to light a cigarette.

My 48-year-old brother had just unexpectedly passed away (former smoker), and we had just returned home from his funeral. As I stood there feeling sad and now even more miserable from the cold, I caught myself thinking; "What if every time I felt stressed I just came outside and banged my head against the wall or slammed my fingers in the door, or some other ridiculous thing that would cause me harm?" After all, that was what I was doing: causing myself harm. Obviously, the harmful effects of smoking don't show up right away like a bump on the head or smashed fingers, and that's one of the ways we delude ourselves into the continuous downward spiral of poor health and loss of vitality. It was then that I made the decision to stop smoking.

I was what you would call a sneaky, social smoker. Most people who knew me didn't know I smoked. However, this little "social" habit was getting harder and harder to stop. I also found myself smoking more and more under moments of stress. So shortly thereafter, as I was manipulating a regular wall calender, my friend suggested I just make my own, and so, the iStop Planner/workbook was born.

As a Neuro-Linguistics practitioner/ Life Coach and hypnotist, I have incorporated many aspects derived from holistic healing modalities as well as modern-day remedies. Over the past five years, I have read several hundred books on health and wellness, and have completed extensive self-awareness training. I have incorporated parts of those lessons into this day-planner/workbook to assist you in your journey to stop smoking. The iStop planner is a valuable tool to assist you in your efforts to stop smoking. We here at iStop wish you much success -- and we would love to hear your story.

Sincerely,
